I let go
and your lightness
carries me
beyond the sky
into myself
peeling
your soul's skin
I taste
the sweet juice
of dreams
when I was
young and possible
I knew
the names of wild things
and imaginary lovers
rooted
in frozen sand
standing
strong and still
I open my arms
I awaken
with wet cheeks
and poetry
knocking on the door
of my parched dreams
chai tea
and sunlight
spreading
our toast
with poetry
