mycelium
entering the woodland
as it enters me,
knurled roots sinking
into moss, lichens, and loam
wearing this empty nest
like a broken crown,
studded with feathers
and eggshell afflictions
breath-bathing between
godly shafts of light,
anointed with the dew
of belongingness
othering here
in this sacred place,
decayed body fruiting
into visibility
