a lullaby
of snow fluttering
against the tent
unzipping our cocoons
we emerge into winter
a dirty waif
dumpster-diving
g n a w i n g
the leftover bones
of his leftover life
fairy rings
appearing overnight
such sorcery
the way i conjure you
arising out of earth
note: "fairy rings" are naturally occurring rings of mushrooms
